Gantt Huberman Architects was founded in 1971 by Harvey Gantt and Jeffrey Huberman. The firm has grown today to a full-service architectural firm offering expertise in architecture, planning, and interior design, with a 26-person staff. The founding partners envisioned an architectural firm that is passionate about excellent design, responsive to the programmatic needs of the client, and competent stewards of their client’s budget.

Harvey and Jeff tested these principles through decades of practice that has gained the firm a stellar reputation as one of the Carolinas most respected architectural firms. The firm’s body of work covers a wide spectrum of project types, including college and university buildings, K-12 schools, civic, governmental, and religious structures.

One of Gantt Huberman Architects’ most distinguishing characteristics is its culture of totally engaging the client in the design process. Drawing upon one of the most diverse staff of professionals in the region, the firm easily facilitates the grassroots interactive design required to resolve complex issues found in college campuses, downtown sites, and urban neighborhoods.

The firm has been rewarded for its body of work over four decades. Three of its architects, including the founders, are Fellows in the American Institute of Architects. The firm has also won numerous awards and honors for its buildings. In 2006, Gantt Huberman Architects was honored as AIA North Carolina’s Firm of the Year.
